AWS just posted its fastest growth in 18 quarters — the dip thesis is playing out

Bought more $AMZN on the last pullback and Q2 2026 is why. AWS revenue hit $42.2B, +36.7% YoY — the fastest growth rate in 18 quarters, accelerating for the fifth straight quarter in a row. AWS operating income jumped to $16.6B from $10.2B a year ago, a 39.4% operating margin (+650bps YoY). Group-wide: $200.6B revenue (+20%), operating income $27.5B (+43%). AWS run-rate is now $169B annualized, and Amazon's chips + AI businesses are each individually past a $25B run-rate growing triple digits. This is a margin story as much as a growth story now — AWS is printing money at scale again.

Chips + AI businesses both >$25B run rate is underrated part of this report 🔥

39.4% AWS operating margin is genuinely elite. This is the print I wanted.
